Hot Day Wearing

as a result of climate change/global warming, we are having a heat wave this week. this is second or third time this summer.
it was so hot i did not take picture for my yesterday's outfit; instead, i rushed into a cool shower after got back from lil B's museum routine.  before we went out again today to have a lunch date with DH, i took picture first.  i dress as summery as i ever could.  it is hard to think about being fashionable when it is 100 degree out.

i also lost some appetite for food due to the hot weather, but i dont think i lost any weight. i dont know if my body/weigh ever gonna change. i have been just like this since i was 15.

prada ombre slides from last year collection, or maybe two years ago...
here is a pair of prada on sale at all sizes. they even come with a prada travel case:

4th July Party

we had a big 4th July party in a friend's house on 5th July to celebrate 4th July and friend's birthday together.

people were trying to stay cool because it was 100 degree out that day...

i am always the camera girl because i don't want to miss recording my little boy's fun moment.

while kids were having their fun, guys were doing their stuff- beers and cigars...

another pair of shoes this season. oscar de la renta snake skin/ patent leather platform sandals. they are flattering on feet. and comfy enough to wall around for a couple of hours.

4th July

we hosted a house BBQ party today, so i dressed down and comfy

pink silk drape neck top with khaki linen capri.
Hollywould clutch

jeweled Judith Leiber slides
hmm, maybe i should have worn my new Chanel slides which is more 4th July appropriate...

lil B enjoys playing with kids at all ages.  he is a snuggle lover.
his feet and legs looked so yummy in this picture. ...mmm

Zoo Outfit: Lilly Pulitzer Sheath

now i know my husband was right: the belt was not a good touch for the dress. the material of the dress is like poplin (a little hard and stiff) cotton with cotton lining. a little too sick for a belt to work well. the pink pockets line also prevent a belt to look nice on.

one of this summer's new shoes, Prada patent leather slides are very comfortable to walk in.
i have been carrying my new Jimmy Choo straw tote. i am glad i waited for 2 years to finally get a perfect one.

these are the reasons i love this Lilly Pulitzer Panda dress.

the birthday girl's mommy looks like Michelle Yeoh...

candle and cake

it wouldn't be the same if the best friend was not there to share.

White Lace Tunic

i got this lace tunic at the beginning of the summer.
fellow blogger, Rachel had a few posts of her lace clothing already. i finally wore lace trend today. not a lot lace in my wardrobe.

let's see if it goes with a airy chiffon scarf (A. McQ)...yup, it's a good touch.

how about a couple of crystal (real) necklace- hm, also works.

i love a little shoulder structure on this tunic.

it is hard not to love airy, comfy stuff in a hot summer day.

returning stuff to store is a tricky thing. these wedge sandals came home with me unexpected.
the cc on the vamp are navy lamb leather, stripes are silk, shoes are trimmed and lined with leather. heels are about 3.5' with some 3/4' platform.  they are comfortable and light to walk in.  i can see myself wear these more often than my other chanel shoes.

Change is Good

i posted this DKNY tee shirt dress in April (pic up right); when i put it on and ready to run some errands today, i discovered a big problem: the dress was semi-transparent on me when i looked down in sunlight! in summer, i don't wear tights, so i have to make it work without showing my legs/panty somehow!

First, i tried a couple of  tight shorts to wear underneath the dress, they failed terribly (in my book anyway)...  my head went blank for a few minutes.  Finally, i jumped outside the box and took the dress to my sewing station.  Voila, a transformation took place there: a tee shirt dress -> a tunic. it worked very well with my light grey MBMJ capri.

this coral Salvatore Ferragamo hobo was fresh out of its box. i added it to the outfit and achieved effortlessly chic. yay!

doing a project like this makes me feel good!

Etro Tunic

we had a good time playing with one of my mommy friend and her cute lil girl in the Museum and park today. it was perfect temperature (low 70s with breeze) for outdoor activity. breathing in fresh air and walking on paved road in woods with two beautiful children and friend, my heart feels light and happy.

i carried my new straw tote. love it. casual but still got its designer details.
it cost me 20 minutes to find a right shorts to wear underneath the tunic. but it was totally necessary.

new buy - Alexander McQueen leopard silk scarf.

going to return this bag - it's already heavy for me before i put anything in it.
