Cold Winter Days

We are having the coldest week of the NewEngland winter. It is unbearable to me. I decided not to go to my yoga class tonight.

This week has been very quiet. We stayed home for most of the time. DS is having his longest cold in his life. his little nose constantly producing mucus. but his spirit is up... it is going away, i am thinking to myself.

not a big shopping week either. The black wool/cashmere Burberry coat was actually from last year, i never post a mod pic for it. but the long birds necklace and oxford flat booties are kinda new. The beige DvF boyfriend wool jacket is from this season, but i have not got around wearing it since i got it.

2 LBDs on the hangers: the first one, zipper shoulder, by JC; the second one, cutout details on the shoulders, by black halo...hardly see from pictures. i am waiting for weather to be warmer to wear them.

A Winter Raining Day

It has been raining all day today...

We went to our club in the morning. DS had his pre-school thing done and I had 1 hour exercise while waiting for him.

I took pictures for DS (all the time), and for my new necklace - i got it for the outfit i will be wearing in a March wedding. I think i am going to wear it to our Valentine's Day dinner in a beautiful hotel downtown first. it looks delicate and romantic, the dark purple crystals look mysterious and shinny under the light. there are some small multi color crystals embedded on a couple of dark purple crystals.

Finally another pair of CL

My last CL was from a year ago. I guess I am not a CL fan at this kind of speed.

Second item is a messenger bag.

Third is St. John jacket and the last one is MaxMara cashmere cardigan.

none of them can be called a deal and steal but i know i will use them a lot. one of TPF, Sophie/burberryprince once said value of the piece is by per use. I need to use my stuff more often so i can get their value out of each use.

DH is not very good at taking pictures for people. especially for me, since he is much taller so my proportion doesn't turn out nice in the picture taken by him sometimes. Actually, the person in this picture doesn't even look like me. hm... well, that was me -in a most unflattering angle and expression. I was out running some errands, and a quick bite of lunch today.

Source of Confidence

Except the confident that comes from within, where else do you get more confidence? right, other people's praise. there are many ways to tell a compliment from others. To me, a sexy smile from a really handsome man is a big confidence booster. I got one today, it made me happy. Thank you, beautiful stranger.

Hunting for Good Deals from NM's Last Call

...and this is my 'hunter' outfit. racks of clothes are like jungle. it is a lot of work - i prefer internet shopping!

as a result, i did score one thing... it turned out i got a jacket from the same brand i was wearing ...! I have to wait till Thursday to bring it home though.

Today, i read about Ziyi Zhang's newest story. She has been in gossip column since day one. but this time is shocking. So, her wish to be a family woman and have three kids one dog was totally not happening any time soon since her Viviv was out of the picture.
oppositely, she is involved with a married man according to her ex-girlfriend! I thought of someone from TPF words: who is your Hermes daddy?! - Ziyi's rumored Hermes-daddy had generously tendered 3 most precious Birkins to his movie star lover, one of them is croc with diamond birkin.

I saw this picture of Natalie Portman in navy double breast cropped coat on 3 different magazines. It must be a hit.

Since i was only going to a kid's party today, I opted double breast sweater jacket and a long MBMC graphic tee for more of a casual vibe.

First Dinner Date in 2010

When you are a married woman, your dinner date is no longer flirtatious and exciting, it's rather sweet and comfortable with your old hubby.

I chose to wear my black long wool jacket (Elie Tahari) and beads-all-over tank dress (Haute Hippie). the ruby color messenger Rebecca Minkoff bag is also a new item.

My dinner choice was Scallops with truffle special tonight. It turned out to be one of the best i had.

His Little World

Today we went to the mall to meet with a friend and her daughter and MIL. We had a great time playing together. I shopped a few things for DS and DH at good sales.

We finally put together DS's new bed before xmas. I got around taking some pictures today.

He got a twin size espresso color wood bed with trundle. the rest of his furniture are the same color. His bedding theme is popular kids movie, Cars. I picked a Tommy Hilfiger comforter because it is pretty and warm. I laughed so hard that i was out of breath when i saw DS sleeping like that - he is too cute - what else could i ask for?

On his walls: the first painting was my own work; the second and third was my mother in law's work.

the outfit was what i wore to the mall today (the RL blue label shirt is longer than the TB wool jacket), it was finished off with a black leggings and low heel tall black boots. I took my Chanel PTT out today.

Some new Buys

I thought I had enough clothes but I still end up taking more time getting dressed in the morning than I should. hmm... a woman always need that one more piece of clothes in her closet. (and it also apply to bags and shoes. huh)

I returned the purple Gucci sandals because they didn't flatter my feet. they are wide around the ankle/heels but narrow on the front- my feet are opposite, my feet are wider on the front and small around ankle/heel.

* i got a Rebecca Minkoff messenger bag. she is in color Ruby - very pretty color. i took pictures with flash and without to capture its beautiful jewelry color.
